Our Mission
Generational started with a simple idea: every kid in Hampton Roads should get to build something cool, learn how it works, and feel like the next career is theirs. We're a 501(c)(3) nonprofit running STEAM programs, workforce development, and social-emotional learning across Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Hampton, Newport News, and beyond.
You'll see our students coding drones, racing electric boats with NSU PEP, designing in classrooms, and laughing in summer camps. That's the work. The rest is just paperwork.

What is STEAM?
STEAM is Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math — taught together instead of in five separate boxes.
A robotics build is also a math problem and a design exercise. A drone flight is physics, code, and pilot judgment. We teach the connections, because that's how the world actually works.
